As this year marks the Centenary of the end of the Great War (1914-1918) the Crowborough Community Festival will be commemorating this moment in history with a programme of events to be held in October  and November 2018.

One of the events will involve a three-week exhibition of artwork at the Crowborough Community Centre. Local artists and photographers are invited to submit artwork which illustrates some aspect of the war or Armistice with the emphasis on remembrance.

The  competition is open to anyone over the age of 16. The artwork would need to be submitted in September (dates to follow).  The first prize will be worth £250, second prize £150 and third prize £75.

If you would you like to submit an artwork and take part in this important event please contact Rosemarie Simmons at info@crowboroughcommunityfestival.org

  1. Hi Rosmarie
I run a textile art group in crowborough and we would definitely be interested in exhibiting. Please forward some details. Just as a side thing, one of the ladies’ husband is organising to have a war memorial installed in Rotherfield this Autumn which might be of interest to you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon Moragb
