
Biographer and broadcaster, Andrew Lycett will be giving an illustrated talk based on his book Conan Doyle: The Man who Created Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle’s literary achievements have been to a large extent been overshadowed by the character he created known as the world’s most famous detective Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle lived in Crowborough for many years, raising a second family at Windlesham Manor on Hurtis Hill. Andrew’s talk is a unique opportunity to find out more about the man behind the myth and the legacy he left behind. Tickets are only £5 including tea and biscuits.
